What Is LockBit Ransomware ?

One ransomware type that has been connected to the Lockbit 2.0 cybercrime group is called Lockbit. Because of its powerful features and ease of usage, it has gained popularity among ransomware criminals since its initial discovery in 2021.

Lockbit locks victims’ files using AES encryption and then demands a ransom to unlock them. The malware is frequently distributed by phishing emails or software flaws, and if the ransom is not paid in a certain period of time, its operators have been known to release stolen data.
